Working as a technical writer, you will write, organize, and structure technical data and information resulting in crystal-clear user and service documentation and explore AI-driven solutions to optimise documentation processes and outputs.
You will work at our headquarters in Ghent combined with home office and on-site work at our customers’ offices. You will join a team of talented technical writers who work collaboratively with developers, product managers and internal teams to enable our customers to provide crystal-clear user and service documentation. The job includes writing and editing texts in English or Dutch, structuring data, indexing and cataloguing data, reviewing, and copy-editing content.
Areas of responsibilty of a technical writer
- Understanding customer goals and challenges.
- Drafting and analysing technical documentation.
- Writing, updating, and managing technical documentation.
- Consistent management of documentation focussing on reuse and consistency.
- Publication of the final documents via appropriate software.
- Exploring and implementing AI-driven solutions for documentation processes.
- Collaborating with AI specialists to enhance documentation quality and efficiency.
Your profile:
- You have a near native command of English.
- You are a structured person.
- You are interested in technology and how things work.
- You are a strong communicator and can acquire input from the teams you will be working with in different fields of expertise.
- You can understand complex technical information and translate it to the respective target audience at an understandable level.
- You are an excellent user of Microsoft Office Tools.
- Experience with xml and DITA is a plus.
- Experience with authoring and publishing tools (e.g., Oxygen, Madcap …) is a plus.
- Knowledge of content management systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of e-learning tools (Adobe Captivate, Articulate) is a plus.
- You are highly motivated and eager to learn.
